Bradford Premier League 2017
Junior Cricket at Farsley Cricket Club
Farsley CC has an established pedigree in finding, nurturing and growing young local talent. You only have to look in to the history of county and international cricket to see names that have mastered and honed their skills at Red Lane. It would be remiss not to mention that having reached the highest accolades in International cricket, Ashes winning captain Ray Illingworth, is still to be found on the boundary edge at Red Lane most home games.
We currently still boast a host of former or currently contracted County cricketers in our ranks giving juniors, who attend games, the perfect chance to see how first class cricketers play the game and conduct themselves on the field
Junior cricket at Farsley has been at the forefront of the Club's priorities for many years and will remain so long into the future. With a firm belief that junior cricket is important not only to maintain the life blood of the Club but also for the game itself. All four senior teams boast local players many of whom have risen through the ranks of the Rams.
There is a skilled and passionate team with qualified coaches and assistants, who are dedicated to ensuring all junior players realise their potential and hopefully progress through to represent the Rams at first team level.
The Club also believes that child welfare is an important issue and follows the ECB's 'Safe Hands Policy' and has a named Child Welfare Officer and in line with ECB Clubmark guidelines, the Club also has firm anti-bullying and discrimination policies. We also encourage the junior sections to be part of the consultation when drawing up the Club's 'Rules for Young People'.
